Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the opportunities of using artificial intelligence anchor technique in Egyptian news channels and websites, The study applied “Delphi method” questionnaires to conduct in-depth interviews with (37) media experts working on those channels and websites to collect study data.
The study concluded that the media experts , the sample of study, agreed on the readiness of Extra News and AL-Qahera News Channels to use the AI anchor technique in producing and presenting news content. They explained the difficulty of Egyptian news websites purchasing this technique at the present time due to its high cost. Regarding the expected benefits of the future use of the technique , they pointed to the technology’s ability to operate 24 hours a day without interruption, and that it will contribute to presenting news content in many languages in a professional and innovative manner. However, they stressed that it will not replace the human element and that the most likely occurrence in the future is that they will cooperate together in presenting news content.
